Celebrate 50 years in the ministry

Rev. and Mrs. Bill Greer, who are celebrating 50 years in the ministry, were recognized recently by the congregation at Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church for their service. The Rev. Greer celebrated 50 years in the ministry Easter Sunday, beginning his ministry in 1971. His first pastorate was at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, where he served 11 years. He then served 25-1/2 years as pastor of Keystone Free Will Baptist Church, retiring from there. He then came out of retirement to pastor Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church, where he has served for the past 11-1/2 years. He is 87 years old. He is picrtured with his wife, Mary Nell, who has been at his side every step of the way.
