Two-vehicle accident slows traffic

A two-car accident in front of Taco Bell during a busy lunch hour on Saturday slowed traffic but there didn’t appear to be any injuries suffered as officers conducted their investigation into the incident.

A blue Toyota Rav-4 appeared to suffer the brunt of the collision as the driver’s side was visibly impacted by the crash. The dark-colored Volkswagen sedan was also taken from the scene by Roadside Recovery Towing Services.

The driver of the Volkswagen was given a field sobriety test by the Elizabethton Police Department. He received a citation for the accident and left with the towing service.
